Count Gustaf Cronhielm's (1664-1737) seal stamp.

A so called "Pitschaft". Engraved steel. Reversible with the coats of arms of the comital and baronial Cronhielm family (nr.55; nr. 94). Height 52mm.

Provenance

Councilor Count Gustaf Cronhielm (1664-1737).

More information

The Cronhielm family was elevated to baronial dignity in 1691 under number 94, and to comital dignity in 1712 under number 55. It can thus be deduced that the seal in the auction belonged to Gustaf Cronhielm—who was the only member of the family to be both a baron and a count.
