Acquired by the current owner's parents for their holiday home in France.

This model, "Trois boules", is known since 1951.
Georges Jouve is considered one of the most important ceramists of the mid 20th century in France. He was educated at École Boulle in Paris. In 1944, Jouve started his first own studio in Paris. He was soon invited to participate in "La Ceramique Contemporaine" by Compagnie des Arts Francais and subsequently took part in several of the recurring exhibitions of contemporary ceramics.
