More information

In 1911, Oscar Ahrén started his own mail-order business, AB Oscar Ahrén, which gradually grew. The company's mail-order catalog spread throughout the country, and at its peak, there were a quarter of a million customers to whom the company delivered several hundred thousand packages annually. In the mid-1930s, the turnover was 5 million SEK per year, which was a high figure at that time. After a short period of illness, Oscar Ahrén passed away in 1948. The company was then continued by two of his brothers. In the mid-1950s, the business was liquidated.
