A pair of Swedish Marieberg grisaille faiance dishes, 18th century.

Dated 1/6 and 2/6 (17)68, and with painters signature AHD for Anders Halldin. Pillow shaped after a silver model. Transfer print in grisaille depicting putti with grapes in a landscape. Dimensions 29x22 cm.

Provenance

From the Collection of the Swedish Banker, Art Collector and Mecenat Falk Simon (1874-1957), Gothenburg, thence by descent. Falk Simon was an important collector of antiques and art in Sweden, he donated his renowned silver collection to the Röhsska Museum in 1934.
