An antique Heris Serapi carpet, ca 391-408 x 298 cm
From around 1880. A light terracotta melange ground with a polychrome medallion, corner ornaments and large stylized palmettes as well as flower vines. A wide dark blue main border with stylized palmette, flower, leaf, arabesque and pomegranate vines.
Provenance
From Carl Livijns' (1836-1934) collection. Purchased from Nessims in Malmö during the opening in 1914.
