A French Empire ormolu and marble mantel clock 'à la sultane', first part of the 19th century.

Modelled as a leaning maiden surrounded by attributes symbolizing the Orient. The Roman dial with worn signature "DENIÈRE FT DE BES A PARIS" (Jean-François D. (1774-1866) och Guillaume D. (1815-1903). The movement signed "Pons medaille d'argent 1827" (Pierre-César Honoré P., watchmaker active in Paris 1807-1850). Length 39, width 15, height 53,5 cm. Pendulum included.
