A flambé glazed vase, Qing dynasty, 19th Century.

Based on archaic bronze form, the body of rectangular section swelling around the middle and tapering at the neck, the neck flanked with a pari of lug handles, glazed in a sang de boeuf red glaze that shifts to celadon green. Height vase 31.5 cm. Height with mount as a lamp 65 cm.

Crazing to glaze, hole for cord.
