Isabella Wrangel's painting is characterised by a powerful creativity and an intense sense of colour. She painted interiors, landscapes and still lifes, as well as completely abstract compositions. In 1959, her creative power was interrupted by rheumatoid arthritis, which left her completely disabled in three years. Isabella Wrangel has exhibited in both Sweden and the United States and is represented at, among others. Nationalmuseum, Moderna Museet and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington.
