A guide for buyers – How to bid


Participating online is easy – You can bid in advance by placing an absentee bid online or live online in real-time during the auction. Choose an option that fits you. Read more about the options below.

Register with one click – please note that if you are an online customer you need to register for Live Auctions to be able to bid at the auction. Simply click here to register or contact validation@bukowskis.com. If you are a new customer, you must create a Customer Account first. For assistance, please contact info@bukowskis.com.

Register for Live Auctions Create an Account

Absentee bidding (online or written form)

If you are a verified Live Auction customer and logged into your account, you can place an online absentee bid up to 15 minutes before the lot is hammered. Simply find the lot you wish to bid on and enter your maximum bid in the “Place your bid” field, after this Bukowskis will bid on the item for you.

You may also send in a written absentee bidding form to our customer service. Click here to download the absentee bidding submission form and send the filled out form to info@bukowskis.com.

Bid LIVE online in real-time

If you are a verified Live Auction customer and logged into your account, you can participate online in real-time during the auction. Find the auction you want to participate in and click “Join the live auction”, and you will be directed to Bukowskis’ LIVE auction streaming page. The lot being sold is shown on the screen – so keep an eye out for the lot you wish to bid on. After this, you can place your bid in the “Place your bid” field.

Bidding by phone

If you prefer to bid by telephone, one of our specialists can call you directly from the salesroom and bid on your behalf. Simply fill out the telephone bidding application form and send it to telephonebid@bukowskis.com by 8 PM on the day before the auction. Please specify the catalogue number, your full name, address and telephone number(s) where you can be reached during the auction.

Bid in the auction room

If you wish to bid Live in person in the salesroom, you can register at Bukowskis, Arsenalsgatan 2 in Stockholm from 9 AM on the day of the auction. For more information, please contact our customer service: info@bukowskis.com.

Please note: To submit a bid exceeding 3 million SEK, we may require a special approval based on bank reference. Please send an email to validation@bukowskis.com in order to be approved for bidding on this level.

Payment and collection

Payment

Payment must be made within 8 working days of the end of the auction. Payments for items purchased by private individuals with an address in Sweden, Finland, Germany or Austria for total amounts of up to SEK 300,000 are made via Klarna’s payment service.

Payment options, e.g. card payments or invoice, are shown on the payment page. Payments are made via bukowskis.com under ”My pages”. Payments for commercial customers and for private individuals for total amounts exceeding SEK 300,000 will be invoiced by Bukowski Auktioner AB. You will find your invoice at ”My pages” at bukowskis.com. Payment may also be made at the auction itself at Bukowskis’ premises at Berzelii Park 1. Please note that payments cannot be made in cash.

Collect

We welcome you to pay and collect your item from Wednesday, 25th - Friday, 27th of October at Bukowskis, Arsenalsgatan 2, Stockholm. No pickup is available between October 28th – November 2nd due to transportation. From Tuesday, October 31st, we welcome you to collect your item at Bukowskis, Västberga Allé 3, Stockholm.

As of Wednesday, November 8th, a storage fee of 50 SEK per item and day will be charged for uncollected items. Full payment must be received before your lot can be collected.

If you have won a bid in one of Bukowskis’s auctions, you can easily book delivery online on ”My pages” after you have paid for your item. You can also contact us at specialdelivery@bukowskis.com if you need help finding the best transport solution for you.
