A Chinese fan signed Tang Xinyu, and dated to 1927 in an embroidered silk case.

Embroidered case with four chinese characters surrounded with blue cloud formations. Length 31 cm. Fan with bamboo sides, decorated with flowers and a text from Wang Xizhis Lanting Pavilion preface". Length 30 cm. One side of the fan decorated with chinese calligraphy with gold spashes. The other with flowers and a text accompanied by a red seal. Length 40 cm.

From the collection of a Scandinavian nobleman, who had a long diplomatic career starting, in the 1920s as a young attache in China, later on as ambassador in China.
