A Russian commemorative glass Goblet, engraved with Russian imperial crown and monogram, around 1900.

Goblet with a round base and flared rim. Decorated with empress Catherine the Great's monogram and a crowned imperial double-headed eagle. Height 16 cm.
Photograph depicting Baron August Langhoff (1856-1929) included.

Provenance

According to the family, acquired by baron August Langhoff (Finland 1856-1929) in Russia 1892. Thence by descent.

Baron Langhoff was an active officer in the Finnish army and served with the russian army 1877-1878 in the Russian-Turkish war. He advanced and in 1897, he was the commander of the Finnish Guardsbatallion, 1899, for the Semjonovska regiment in St Petersburg, 1900 Major General, 1904 brigade commander.
