A Louis XVI gold and enamel box by Charles Le Bastier, Paris 1776-1777.

20K. Oval, on all sides decorated with enamel panels imitating lapis lazuli framed by white enamel lining and laurel in two color gold. The lid with an oval gouache miniature portrait signed D. Bruyninx, 17 24/4 77. Inside struck with makers mark, year letter, charge and decharge by Jean-Baptiste Fouache, and "231". Length 8,5, height 3,3 cm, weight 178,2 gram.

With portrait miniature of Jacob Elisabeth van Strijn, signed D Bruyninx 1777 (1774-80) & F G J B Fouache (1776-77).
