An Empire ormolu mantel clock 'La fontaine de l'Amour', early 19th century.

The rectangular plinth with an arched centre with ornaments in relief, modelled after Amor's wellspring. The white enamel dial signed "Vaillant à Paris" (Louis-Jacques Vaillant, maître-horloger 1787, active until circa 1817). Length 38, depth 21, height 46 cm.
