More information

Tone Vigeland (1938) was born into a well-known Norwegian family of artists, both her parents were painters but she herself chose the art of jewelry as her form of expression. Vigeland was educated in Norway but gained an international audience early on. Vigeland is today best known for her archaic aesthetics and creations that move in the borderland between jewelry and sculpture, but her early jewelry from the 1960s clearly testifies to her Scandinavian origins with their minimalist and clean forms.
