The building was commissioned by Sundbyberg's Folketshusförening in 1930 in a mixed style between 20th-century classicism and functionalism and was designed by architects Eskil Sundahl and Artur von Schmalensee. It functioned as part of People's House and was called New People's House. In 1999, the association sold the building and it later housed, among other things, offices, and is today called the Allactivities House in Sundbyberg.
