The 'Spectrogram' collection was created in a collaboration between the architect trio Claesson, Koivisto, Rune and Märta Måås-Fjetterström AB in 2006.
Three different sounds gave shape to the patterns of the carpets - the sound of a broadband, the sound of a trout (Forell in Swedish) and the sound of a satellite landing on a planet. Images of sound waves were digitally processed into carpet patterns by the architects and interpreted into woven carpets by art weavers at the MMF workshop in Båstad in several different sizes and in different color schemes.
Claesson Koivisto Rune is a Swedish architecture and design studio founded in 1995 by Mårten Claesson, Eero Koivisto, and Ola Rune.
