Designer

Ann Wåhlström (b. 1957) is a Swedish designer born in Stockholm who primarily works with glass. Wåhlström studied at Capellagården in Vickleby, Öland, Glass School in Orrefors, at the Pilchuck School outside Seattle, at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence in the USA and at Konstfack in Stockholm, for Bertil Vallien, among others. She has been associated with the glass factory Kosta Boda but now carries out her own production in her studio in Seattle. Wåhlström has continuously worked on her expression in glass and in recent years has shown monumental objects. Her glass is imaginatively designed and often done in bright colors.
