A Swedish Marieberg faience bowl, period of Ehrenreich (1758-66).

Round on three feet in the shape of braches, from wich roses grow. Marked MB E. Painters signature F, possibly for Johan Otto Frantzen (1761-1767). Diameter 16 cm.

Restored.

Provenance

From the Collection of the Swedish Banker, Art Collector and Mecenat Falk Simon (1874-1957), Gothenburg, thence by descent. Falk Simon was an important collector of antiques and art in Sweden, he donated his renowned silver collection to the Röhsska Museum in 1934.
