A Swedish fainece jar, Marieberg, 1765.

Decorated with a rose branch that curves around the body. Marked MB E for the period of Ehrenreich. Signed BL, possibly for the potter Bomkertel. Signed MB possibly for the painter Jonas Malmberg. Height 22 cm.

Retouches, restored chips.

Provenance

From the Collection of Josef Sachs. Josef Ernst Sachs (1872-1949), a Swedish business man and founder of NK departmentstore. He is well known for his great interest in art and works of art and had a large collection.
