A set of three French Rouen dinner plates with the arms of Bielke Piper, early 18th Century.

Decorated in blue with a recenc lace around the rim. In the center the arms acolle for the Swedish Noble families Bielke and Piper beneath a coronet. Diameter 21 cm.

Damaged, repaired.

Provenance

Comissioned for the wedding of Count Thure Gabriel Bielke (1684-1763) and countess Chrisitina Piper in 1715.

More information

The service was originally housed in the "porcelain kitchen" at Sturefors, where a large part still remains.
In the 19th century ca 70 pieces was tranferd to the famous "porcelain kitchen" at Thureholm which was dispersed in the early 20th century.
