Two engraved Dutch glasses, late 18th Century.

One with an engraved decoration of the Dutch East India Companys monogram VOC to one side, the other side with a roundel with a ship and the text 'DC Zaan', the rounder is flanked by laurel wreaths. In the base a coin is included, the coin is minted with 'Stad Utrecht 1789' to one side and the other side with a coat of arms'. Height 14.5 cm. Diameter 12 cm. The other glass with a coat of arms to one side, and the other side with flowers. In the base a coin, the coin is minted with 'Stad Utrecht 1780' to one siden and a coat of arms to the other. Height 14.5 cm. Diameter 12 cm.

Wear, the coin has oxidated a bit.

These glasses are in Holland called 'druivenspoeler' and was used to rinse grapes (druiven).
