The Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen designed the Radiohuset in Copenhagen. Today considered a milestone within the golden age of danish design, The Danish Modern movement. The project started in 1934 but wasn't finished until 1945, Lauritzen collaborated with Finn Juhl designing the interiors. The chair was a part of the original Radiohuset interior and it never came in production. Probably the chair with the upholstered seat was used as a concert chair and the chair without the upholstery in the cantine.
