William Morris
(United States, Born 1957)

a 'Tooth' glass sculpture, Pilchuck USA 1995. Acquired straight from the artist.

Blue, white and brown decoration on a burgundy red ground, a loose 'bone' structure is also forming a support. Lenght 56 cm, height 36 cm, the separate structure length 39 cm.
William Morris worked for the American glass artist Dale Chihuly in Pilchuck for ten years in the 1980s before setting up his own studio and beginning his artistic career in glass art.
Morris has developed his own style with inspiration taken from ancient cultures, characterized by living in symbiosis with nature.
