Artist

Antoni Clavé is a Spanish artist, sculptor, illustrator, and designer born in Barcelona. He studied at Escuela de Artes y Oficios. In the beginnong of his career he illustrated primarily movie posters and comics. Clavé was greatly inspired by Pablo Picassos. In 1978, a comprehensive retrospective was dedicated to Clavé at the Centre Pompidou Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris. Clavé's art can be described as abstract, often depicting women, children, and theater scenes.
