A tapestry, “La poesie pastoral”, tapestry weave, ca 251,5 x 283 cm, after Boucher, France 18th century.

A polychrome pastoral scene with trees, flowers and a shepherdess playing flute for two sheep. Inscriptions: "Pastorum Carmina Ludo" and "La Poesie Pastorale". A border with flowers and in the corners a crown. Wool and silk. Lined.

Some partly hard wear, slightly dirty, restored, repairs, additions, minor damages. The border is possibly from another tapestry from the 18th century.
