Olle Sjögren was the son of the founder of OH Sjögren and worked as an artistic director at the company and designed a number of his own models. OH Sjögren collaborated with several of the then major players on the furniture market, e.g. Nordiska Kompaniet. Together with Olle, products were developed that were manufactured with exclusive rights for these companies and which came to constitute what in a modern expression is called the companies' premium segment. In the early 1960s, the company was contacted by Professor Carl Malmsten, who then sought out manufacturers for his furniture and corresponded to his high demands for quality and craftsmanship.
