More information

Sven-Olof Alberius (1926-1993), ceramicist, designer and glass artist, trained at Konstfack 1952-56. After completing his education, he went to Syco Keramik in Strömstad, where he worked as a designer during his early career during the years 1957-65. From 1963 Alberius worked for Rörstrand and from 1971 he went on to work as a glass artist at Orrefors glassworks.

Designer

Olle Alberius was a Swedish designer and glass artist. From 1963 to 1971, Alberius was associated with Rörstrands Porslinsfabrik, where he worked partly with works of art, partly with tableware. From 1971 he was active at Orrefors glassworks, where he designed both classic tableware such as Victoria (1978) and Erik (1974), art glass in the Ariel and Graal technique as well as cut crystal sculptures.
