More information

The 'food-and-talk-table' can be seen as a complement to the dining table and sofa groups. Most families now have space for their dining table in the kitchen. But often there is another space in the living room, which is intended for a dining table. There, the food-and-talk table can 'have its place.'

Fåhraeus, Leilas artikel Stolar och bord för mat och prat, Hem och fritid, nummer 1, 1977.

The 'food-and-talk-tables' had a breakthrough at a time when high society dining room environments at trade fairs and in the trade press had to stand back for more socially equal environments. Hand in hand with this, more and more people settled in the 'social housing programs' apartments with limited areas.
