Provenance
Arvid Flory började sin karriär inom Flottan 1901. När flygmaskinerna började erövra världen blev också Arvid Flory intresserad. 1916 började han flyga hos Thulin och tog flygcertifikat nr 76. Efter det blev det tjänst i Marinens Flygväsende. Arvid Flory gjorde också många studie- och utbildningsresor till bl a Frankrike, Italien, England och Tyskland. 1926 blev Arvid chef för Krigsflygskolan (F 5) i Ljungbyhed. 1932 blev det nytt chefsskap för 2.flygkåren (F 2) i Hägernäs, med bl a ett möte med Charles Lindbergh. 1934 flyttade Arvid till Marinstaben. Karriären avslutades som marinattaché i Argentina under 1940-talet.
