A set of five blue and white dishes, Tianqi/Chongzhen, 17th Century.

Decorated with fruit trees and an appropriate poem for a kaiseki dish. Diameter 20,5 cm.

Fritting to rim, firingspots. Two with rimcrack.

Provenance

Purschased at Bukowskis 2007, lot no 1821.

From the Collection of Claes Wirseen (1939-2020). Pharmacist Claes Wirseen grew up in a family with a passion for Art and Antiques, he and his wife continued the tradition and were frequent visitors to the Fine Art viewings of the Auction Houses in Stockholm. He became interested in Asian art in the 1980’s and started to build up his collcetion at that time, never tiring to learn more about the Asian Ceramics and Works of Art.
