Welcome to an anniversary auction that includes an unusually large amount of international contemporary art, prints and photography as well as highly desired design objects. Experience works by international artists such as Banksy, Jean Tinguely and Andy Warhol side by side with Swedish stars such as Klara Lidén, Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg, Linn Fernström and Ola Billgren.
One piece of art that we are especially proud to present at Contemporary Art & Design is "Girl with Balloon". The motif by the anonymous artist Banksy is one of his most famous motifs which originates from a stencil painting that first appeared in London in 2002 with the message "There is always hope".

One piece of art that we are especially proud to present at Contemporary Art & Design is "Girl with Balloon". The motif by the anonymous artist Banksy is one of his most famous motifs which originates from a stencil painting that first appeared in London in 2002 with the message "There is always hope".
Bukowskis is also proud to present more than sixty photographs from Karin & Lars Hall's acclaimed collection. This is a unique opportunity to present a collection of photography of such dignity. Many of the images are by icons within photography, such as Irving Penn's portrait of Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn, "Women with roses on her arm", "Cuzco Children" and "Nude 58" along with August Sanders "Secretary at West German Radio in Cologne", to name a few. The collection of photographs have been carefully selected by people with a high sense of quality and knowledge about the evolution of photography. The collection, additionally reflects Karin and Lars Hall's own personal taste in photography.
We further want to highlight Klara Lidén's "Untitled (Poster Painting)", where the artist has collected posters from different cities. The lobed edges in various colours create a sculptural impression. A work of art where the distinction between a painting and a sculpture is distinctly blurred.
Jean Tinguely's work "Eléments blanc et bleu sur fond noir" was created in 1955 and has never been on the market before. During this period, Tinguely stayed in Sweden for an extended period while producing several mechanical works in an equivalent style.
In the department of design, you will find several designers who represent our contemporary scenes of design, such as Jan Klingler, Nick Ross, Hanna Hansdotter and the trio Fredrik Paulsen, Simon Klenell and Kristoffer Sundin. Collectables from Mario Marenco, Massimo Morozzi, and Warren Platner, as well as Swedish postmodern classics from Jonas Bohlin, Thomas Sandell and Mats Theselius, will be auctioned this autumn.
