Plate money constitutes the world's largest struck coins. The highest denomination, 10 daler SM 1644-1645, weighs 19,7 kg and only two specimen is known in private possession. In practice the 8 daler SM coin, weighs 14,5 kg and struck between 1652 and 1682 (13 different years), is the largest denomination available to a collector. In all there are ca 40 specimens known from 1659 of which 6-10 specimens are in private collections.
