a silver necklace with a beach stone pendant, executed in her own workshop in France, ca 1958-64.

The neck part stamped TORUN MADE IN FRANCE, inner circumference 31 cm, height of the pendant ca 11,5 cm.

Provenance

Lennart Ehrenborg (1923-2017) a Swedish documetary film maker.
In 1964 Lennart Ehrenborg went together with Mac Ahlberg to Biot in the South of France in order to make films about Torun Bülow Hübe and also about the neighbouring potter Hans Hedberg "Svenska Konsthantverkare i Biot" (Swedish crafts in Biot). Torun and the Ehrenborg family became friends at the time.

Designer

Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe, often known simply as Torun, was one of Sweden's most important 20th century silversmiths and a master jeweller. She is the first female silversmith to have become internationally noted.
