2018 var det 100 år sedan Ingmar Bergman föddes den 14 juli 1918. Detta uppmärksammades på flera håll i världen bland annat genom Bergmanfestival på Dramaten i Stockholm, utställningar på Fårö, filmvisningar i Tel Aviv, Barcelona, Trondheim, Detroit och många många fler. Hans Gedda fotograferade Ingmar Bergman för tidningen Femina år 1973 under inspelningen av filmen Viskningar & Rop. Bergman hade lovat ge Gedda några minuter själv utomhus för fotograferingen men en av Bergmans medarbetare kom in och sa att bilden måste fotograferas under intervjun. Gedda hade både blixt och stora Hasselbladaren i händerna och försökte häva sig åt sidan vid det trånga intervjubordet för att beskära bort journalisten ur bild. Efteråt blev Gedda så besviken på resultatet att det kom att ta 10-15 år innan han återupptäckte bilden i sina samlingar. Nu, långt senare, såg han med andra ögon på motivet och gillade den så pass mycket att han tagit fram den på nytt.

Artist

Hans Gredda is a Swedish photographer born in Flen. Gedda had her debut as a photographer already in her teens, and he later studied with Teddy Aarni in Eskilstuna, and later became an assistant at Rolf Winquist at Ateljé Uggla. Gredda had her breakthrough in 1967 with his portrait of Sara Lidman and Tove Jansson. Gedda was primarily known for his unforced portraits of famous and important individuals within the cultural and social world, such as Nelson Mandela, Olof Palme, Andy Warhol, Jimi Hendrix, Monica Zetterlund, Margaretha Krook, and Carl XVI Gustaf. Gredda also works documentaries and advertisements as well as still lifes, and he has had several exhibitions in Sweden and internationally. He is represented at Moderna Museet and the National Museum. Gredda has released several books and has been awarded prizes such as World Press Photo and Årets bild.
