More information

OWL is a Barcelona based design studio that produces furniture and objects, usually but not exclusively in wood. Everything is designed and built by hand by designer Alfredo Lopez.

Arranging Things is a multidisciplinary design duo that works mainly with interior design and runs a designshop in Stockholm.

Prior to Design week 2020, OWL contacted the Swedish duo Arranging Things. The "La Pepino" chair was originally designed as a monochrome chair. Arranging Things curated this version of the lounge chair. This is their interpretation and explanation.

In our version of the La Pepino chair and ottoman we decided to pay tribute to Pippi Longstocking. Her sidekick and neighbor Annika always had amazing style and combined yellow pants with a pink sweater in a way that stayed with us since we were kids. And as firm believers in color it was a very natural decision to highlight the adaptability of the chair, which is also one of our favorite features about it. For us, these are the colors of Swedish summer and childhood memories.
