A RUG, an antique Gördes (Ghiordes) prayer rug, second half of the 18th century, ca 167-170 x 120-123 cm.

A dark blue prayer field with a narrow border of small stylized carnations. The prayer niche and panels above and below the field have a variety of flowers. A wide ivory main border with large stylized flower bouquets. A label at the back: L.B.XIII.

Wear partly hard, dirty, stains, repaired, reknotted areas, minor damages. Slightly damaged ends.
