A French Empire mantel clock by Ledure and Remond, active in Paris 1812-20.

Gilded and patinated bronze. Dial marked "LEDURE BRONZIER REMOND Hr". Standing Cleo with the trumpet of reputation and the book of history writing. Cleo is a Greek woman's name formed from the word kleos which means glory, reputation. Relief of weapon trophy. Length 36, width 12, height 54.5 cm. Pendulum included.

Dial with wear. Strings on the harp are partly missing.
