Erik Lund, the model was designed and ëxecuted for his family home in Vasastan, Stockholm. Erik Lund was married in 1926 and moved with his wife into this, by that time, new-built house, where the furniture has stayed untouched for many years until recently when the apartment was put out for sale.
Erik Lund began his working career straight after art school at KF's architect's office (the the Swedish Cooperative Association) where the architect Eskil Sundahl was the head of the architectural section. Erik Lund remained at KF until his retirement in 1956. Lund designed a lot of stores, their interiors and furniture. His style was a modernist's, with linear, smooth solutions with curvilinear accents.
