Eva Bengtsson (b. 1955), artist and ceramic artist, educated at the Art School of Fine Arts in Gothenburg in 1976-80, working in her own studio in Frillesås in Halland since 1980, she also worked at Rörstrand in 1985-88.
She began working in earthenware but went over to stoneware during the 1980s and in recent years she has also worked with porcelain.
Eva Bengtsson has since the 1990s worked with artfully expressive ceramics with large pots and vases, often with words and texts. She has had a number of separate and collection exhibitions both in Sweden and abroad and is represented at the Röhsska Museum, Nationalmuseum, Rörstrand Museum and Höganäs Museum, among others.

Designer

Eva Bengtsson is a Swedish ceramist. She was educated at Konstfack in Stockholm, where she studied for one year, before attending the School of Applied Arts in Gothenburg from 1976 to 1980. Between 1985 and 1988, Eva Bengtsson freelanced for the Rörstrand factory. Around 1990, she started her own workshop in Frillesås. Eva Bengtsson often works in larger formats with narrative texts. She has had numerous solo exhibitions in Sweden and has participated in group exhibitions worldwide. Eva Bengtsson's work is represented at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg, Dalarna Museum in Falun, Östergötland Museum in Linköping, Höganäs Museum, Halmstad Museum, and more. She has also completed a number of public art commissions.
