A large blue and white bowl, Ming dynasty (1368-1644).

Decorated with fishes in a lotus pond, the interior decorated with a leaping fish above waves, amidst cloud formations. Hall mark to base. Diameter approximately 36 cm.

Warped. Restored.

Provenance

From a Swedish Collector, a notable member of the Swedish Oriental Ceramics Society who formed his collection from the early 1950's an onwards. Thence by descent.
