A CARPET, an antique Mahal, a so called Ziegler Mahal, ca 401 x 337,5 cm.

A red ground with large polychrome palmette and flower vines. A blue melange main border with palmette, arabesque, flower and pomegranate vines. Several secondary borders.

The greenish brown coloured wool is partly corroded. Some partly a little harder wear, slightly dirty, minor stains and repairs. Small traces of glue at the back, one side has minor fold wear, one end is reduced.
