More information

The family company Raingo Frères was founded in Paris in 1813. At first they made clocks, but in 1841 they began to manufacture gilded bronzes. They became famous for their high quality bronzes in 18th-century style. They delivered bronzes to the Emperor Napoleon III and the Empress Eugenia, of which several objects today exist in The Louvre Collections. The brothers Raingo collaborated with Francois Linke, who made exclusive furniture with exquisite bronze fittings. Raingo Frères exhibited at several of the world exhibitions during the second half of the 19th century, for example in London in 1862.
