Provenance

Fritz Gurlitt Gallery, Berlin, October, 1920, exhibition toghether with László Moholy-Nagy. 6 out of 18 artwork that was exhibited was bought by Gustav Ekström and brought to Sweden.
Thence by descent to the present owner in the family Ekström.

Jozsef Nemes-Lampérth hörde tillsammans med Janos Nagy-Balogh och Jozsef Egry till den avantgardistiska modernistiska rörelsen i Ungern under tidigt 1900-tal med influenser från Cézanne, fauvismen och kubismen vilket skönjs i hans skapande. Lampeérth var även samtida med den kände konstnären László Moholy-Nagy med vilken han ställde ut i Berlin 1920.
