a "model nr 160" easy chair and ottoman by Tage M Christensen & Co, Denmark 1950's.

Reupholstered in a white wool-mix fabric, Brazilian rosewood base, original lining marked underneath: 3139-160 and 3140-160 in writing. The chair width 84 cm, depth ca 93 cm, height 83 cm (seat height ca 40 cm, the ottoman 74 x 47 cm, height 39 cm.

Later upholstery.

Provenance

This actual chair was ordered to a newly build, very Swedish Modern in style, summerhouse in the Stockholm archipelago in the early 1950's.

This model was designed in 1953 and only a very few of this model came to be produced.
