BFA, Konstfack, 2017

Hanna Hansdotter has emerged as one of our most interesting glass artists of today. She is based in her studios in Kosta and Boda and has participated in a variety of exhibitions, including, Richard Heller Gallery (LA), Galleri Hantverket and The Glassery in Stockholm. Her graduation exhibition "Avtryck" at Konstfack 2017 became the start of a new expressive design concept. Her striving to create decorative and tactile patterns in glass began here, and since then she has created a series, "Fading Prints" of sculptural glass objects that have been much appreciated. "Fading Prints" is a series of glass sculptures based on ornamentation and abstraction. The technique is an interpretation of the traditional mould blown glass where the objects swell between the individually shaped iron mills.
Hansdotter became the star of the year at the Elle Decoration Design Award 2018. Hanna Hansdotter is represented at the National Museum Collection in Stockholm. The auction's two items are the largest she has ever done.

Designer

Hanna Hansdotter, born in Lund, has emerged as one of the most talked-about glass artists of our time. She works both from her own studio in Småland and for Kosta Boda. She has participated in various exhibitions, including Richard Heller Gallery (LA), Galleri Hantverket, and The Glassery in Stockholm. Her exhibition "Avtryck" at Konstfack in 2017 marked the beginning of a new expressive visual language. Her pursuit of creating ornamental and tactile patterns in glass started here, and she has since created a series called "Fading Prints" with sculptural glass objects that have made a significant impact. "Fading Prints" is a series of glass sculptures that move between the ornamental and the abstract, where the technique is a reinterpretation of blown glass, with the objects expanding between individually shaped iron grids. She was named the Rising Star of the Year at the Elle Decoration Design Award 2018. Hanna Hansdotter is represented in the collections of Nationalmuseum in Stockholm.
