More information

RON ARAD, born in Tel-Aviv in 1952 and based in London as a designer and architect. Arad is one of today's most distinguished designers. During his career, he has always made his own way and created his unique character through experiments with materials and innovative manufacturing techniques. As a professor of "Design Products" at the Royal Academy in London, he played a significant role in which he influenced a new generation of designers and artists.
Arad has designed products for a number of the major companies in the design industry, but he also makes unique and limited studio objects.
The auction's object belongs to the exclusive studio objects that have been produced in a small edition. The chair so well illustrates the creative mind of Arad, the way he uses new methods to an extreme design that pushes the material to its utmost.
