More information

Regnbågsfonden (The Rainbow Fund) is a foundation set up to provide financial assistance to LGBIT (HBTIQ) organisations throughout the world, as well as individuals, predominantly in countries where LGBIT people are persecuted and harassed by authorities, the police and religious institutions. Regnbågsfonden has been able to support, among other groups, LGBT people who have managed to escape persecution in Chechnya.

It also provides financial support for the first LGBT organisation in Iraq, funds training in LGBT issues for Arabic journalists in the Middle East, supports Safe Houses in Nigeria, and has donated funds of almost half a million to Uganda, which were used to help prevent the threat of homosexuality being punishable by death in the country.
