A pair of Chinese hardwood chairs, late Ming dynasty.

Carved decorateion of stylized dragons. Height of back 115, seating height 52 cm, width 60 cm, dept 45,5 cm.

Restored. Wear.

Provenance

From a Swedish Collector who formed his collection during the 1960's and early 1970's. The collecter used Dr Bo Gyllenswärd as advisor. These chairs were aquired from Paul R Wedendal as Ming dynasty in the early 1980's. There were originally 4 chairs. Two from the set was sold at auction in Hong Kong.
