A Folke Bensow Swedish Grace cast iron stool, model 'Taburett Nr 1', Näfveqvarn, Sweden circa 1925.

Length 62 cm, width 41 cm (at the side by the base), height 49,5 cm.

The stretcher is slightly dislocated at the one end.

More information

The model was shown at the Paris 1925 World Fair. This stool is one of a pair bought for an estate in Södermanland, south of Stockholm.

Designer

Folke Bensow was a Swedish architect and designer. From 1915 to 1930, he ran his own architectural firm in Stockholm and also worked as a furniture designer for, among others, Näfveqvarn.
