A yellow brush pot, Qing dynasty with Daoguang seal mark and period (1821-1850).

Decorated in relief in the colours green and aubergine against a yellow background, the seal mark in underglaze blue. Height 5,5 cm, diameter rim 5,5 cm.

Provenance

From the collection of Carl Ulrik Palm (1864-1954). A Swedish art collector, numismatic and the director of Bukowskis Auction house after the death of its founder Henryk Bukowski, in 1900. Prior to taking over the auction house he had been working for Nordiska Museet in Stockholm. Palm was an active art collector and writer. He made several donations to Nordiska Museet. Thence by descent.
